Dr Salome Nagel

Dr Salome obtained her BVSc degree at Onderstepoort at the end of 2005 and started working in general small animal practice in the UK (London) from 2006 until 2008. She returned to South Africa to pursue a residency at Onderstepoort in Small Animal Medicine in 2009 and obtained her master’s degree in Small Animal Medicine at the beginning of 2013 after which she joined a Pretoria based specialist center and attended referral cases and medical workups.

She decided to start her own medical consultancy service at the beginning of 2021 and has since offered a specialist mobile ultrasound service and medical opinions, as part of this service she can be booked by appointment at BVH on Wednesday’s.
Salome currently has a keen interest in inflammatory biomarkers and calcium homeostasis in dogs and cats.

Dr Remo Lobetti

Dr Remo’s journey in veterinary medicine commenced with the attainment of his BVSc degree in 1987. Following his university years, he completed two years serving in the Veterinary section of the South African Defense Force, honing his skills in diverse and challenging environments.

Transitioning into private practice, Remo dedicated a further two years to Orange Grove Veterinary Hospital in Johannesburg, gaining invaluable experience. His passion for academia led him to the Department of Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Pretoria, where he assumed the role of senior lecturer in 1992. Recognizing his exceptional contributions, he earned the position of associate professor in 1997 and subsequently served as the Section Head of Small Animal Medicine from 1997 to 2000 at Onderstepoort Faculty of Veterinary Science.

In 2001, Remo embarked on a new chapter, bringing his wealth of knowledge and expertise to Bryanston Veterinary Hospital as a specialist physician. His commitment to the field, demonstrated through a seamless blend of academic and clinical roles, exemplify Remo’s dedication to advancing veterinary medicine.

Currently, Remo is on a well deserved sabbatical in Ireland.
